Bruno Bruni – A Life for Art
Bruno Bruni, born in 1935 in Gradara near Pesaro, Italy, has made a name for himself internationally as a versatile artist. His works tell stories of passion, tradition, and innovation.
Artistic Development
From his humble beginnings at the Instituto d’Arte in Pesaro (1952-1959) to the Hamburg University of Fine Arts (1960-1965), Bruni developed his distinctive style. He masterfully combines the Italian artistic tradition with influences from Surrealism and Abstract Expressionism.
Awards and Recognition
- 1967: Lichtwark Prize of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg
- 2002: Appointed “Cavaliere ufficiale della Repubblica Italiana”
- 2014: Honorary Doctorate from the Russian-Armenian University in Yerevan
