Bruno Bruni
Bruno Bruni, born in 1935 in Gradara near Pesaro, is one of the most renowned Italian artists in Germany. Residing in Hamburg for over four decades, Bruni has gained international recognition for his figurative motifs as a draftsman, lithographer, painter, and sculptor.
Artistic Development
Bruni studied at the University of Fine Arts in Hamburg under the renowned painter and graphic artist Georg Gresko. His friendships with artists like Rudolf Hausner and Horst Janssen significantly influenced his artistic journey. In 1977, Bruni was awarded the International Senefelder Prize for lithography, solidifying his reputation as a master of this technique.

Biography
1935 | Bruno Bruni is born on November 22 in the signalman’s cottage No. 134 between Cattolica and Pesaro as the fourth child of a railway worker. |
1952-1959 | Studied at the Istituto d’Arte di Pesaro, Ugolini Prize |
1959 | Solo exhibition at the “Saletta Rossini” in Pesaro |
1959-1961 | Life as a painter in London, working part-time as a dishwasher in various restaurants. |
1961-1966 | Studied at the Academy of Fine Arts Lerchenfeld in Hamburg under Gresko. Alongside Otto Dix and Edgar Augustin, Bruno Bruni receives the Lichtwark Prize.
